"WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE EVER LOST?"

Ever lose your favorite wrench? Misplace that special screwdriver for that
particular job? Couldn't find that spare part you put away in a good, safe
place? I am certain these frustrating examples have happened to every one of
us. The list can certainly go on with commonly "lost" items like keys, glasses,
TV remotes, homework assignments, wallets, pocketbooks, etc. Some of these
"lost" items never return while some are eventually found, oddly, always in the
last place you looked. Many of these things can be replaced but the Word of God
teaches us about something everyone has, can never be replaced, can be eternally
lost or forever safe and secure. The choice is ours.

FOR WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD,
AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL? OR WHAT SHALL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR
HIS SOUL? MARK 8:36-37

The search for truth and purpose in life can be as elusive as locating that
misplaced set of keys. That desire for purpose and meaning in our lives is
something our Creator has placed inside each one of us. That empty spot in our
lives can only be fully satisfied and filled with a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Life is full of choices to try to fill that void. Some of them good, like
family, friends, racing, and hobbies. Others are destructive such as drugs or
alcohol, pornography, or other addictions the Word of God calls sinful. Only
one choice can ultimately and eternally satisfy; Jesus Christ.
Just like that lost set of keys, there are innumerable places to look, but
only one place to succesfully find them. The same is true for eternal life in
heaven. It is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.

ENTER THROUGH THE NARROW GATE. FOR WIDE IS THE GATE AND BROAD
IS THE ROAD THAT LEADS TO DESTRUCTION, AND MANY ENTER THROUGH
IT. BUT SMALL IS THE GATE AND NARROW THE ROAD THAT LEADS TO
LIFE; AND ONLY A FEW FIND IT. MATTHEW 7:13-14
